Our Story

Here at LV Farms we are a family run mixed farming operation, running 430 head of breeding females and 3000 acres of grain land. We started our purebred cattle journey in 2005 with our Herefords, buying 11 bred heifers. In 2011 we expanded our Hereford herd by purchasing 25 head from Becker Polled Herefords and we’ve continued to add genetics from across Canada and the U.S. that we think help us continue towards our goals. In 2015 we diversified into the Black Angus breed picking up a few females that we thought complimented our group of Herefords well. In 2018 we expanded our Angus herd by buying 17 top notch Red Angus females from the T Bar K Ranch herd dispersal. To date we have around 100 Hereford mama’s, 30 Angus mama’s and 300 commercial mama’s. Each year you can find our bulls for sale at the yard. We also exhibit cattle yearly at Manitoba Ag Ex and Canadian Western Agribition.

We welcome you to stop by the yard anytime of year, we love talking and touring cattle.
